On-Grid Solar Panel or Wind Turbine System
Information on On-Grid systems (grid-tie)
This system doesn't need to store energy into batteries. It will automatically 'sell' it to the public electricity company (electric grid), to reduce your electric bills. There is no need to calculate and predict the number of battery or power necessary minimum requirements for your inverter. All of your electricity will be injected into the public grid, and when you need it, the grid will be available to give it back to you.
The energy produced by wind is' unstable '. When there is a gust of wind, the wind turbine will turn more quickly, increasing the voltage and amperage it produces. A charge controller is needed to stabilize the current, before introducing it in the grid-tie inverter.
The grid-tie inverter have the task of generating an electric current similar to the current of your grid. In North America, the standard is 110VAC in 60Hz. In Europe, the majority of electrical networks use 220VAC in 50Hz. That is why it is important before buying a grid-tie inverter, to know the configuration of its power grid.
As the grid-tie inverters are connected to the rear panel of your home, you'll probably need the assistance of an experienced electrician to complete your installation. We do not recommand anyone to try the installation alone.
